
PESHAWAR: Two people, one of them a Chinese woman, were gunned down by unidentified men in a densely populated area of Peshawar, police officials said on Tuesday.
The Chinese woman, who was reported to be in her 40s, was identified as Jing Hua, while the other person was identified as Muhamad Suleman, a resident of Nasir Bagh.
The incident took place in the Kohati area, which is located at the centre of Peshawar city. SSP Operation Tahir Ayyub said that the two had been shot by unidentified motorcyclists.
The bodies were shifted to Lady Reading Hospital after the incident.
Investigations are underway, the reason behind the killing and the purpose of the Chinese woman’s visit to Peshawar remain unclear, said the police official.
